For sure it did, but I kind of liked its simplicity. Grub is like a many headed Hydra, and I’m not fond of it either.
black coffee is the best you can put in milk and sugar but then it isn't coffee any more
What if you add Bailey's Irish Cream, some Grand Marnier, and a little Old Bushmills Irish Whisky.
That seems like a big improvement on black coffee to me.

but better is to separate it first drink a bottle irish wiskey than to cope drink black coffee
by the way while you mentioned it
bailey irish cream with a dry irish wiskey like tullamore drew is an exellent choice
