My desktop compy suffered from mysterious hardware disappearance and reappearance for a while and it stumped even Dell’s tech support. Turns out the BIOS’ “hardware discovery” was set to Auto, but when I reset to Thorough it re-acquired all of the installed hardware. Kinda like normal.
