Installing CachyOS-bore-kernel/mkinitcpio command not found

Like it says, I’m trying to install the cachyos kernel, however, when I run the sudo mkinitcpio -P command I get sudo: mkinitcpio: command not found.

I started to just install mkinitcpio, and it told me that garuda-dracut-suport would be removed, and I feel like that’s an important thing, since it does have “garuda” in the name. I know that the person that wrote this article doesn’t/didn’t use Garuda, so is there maybe a different way that I’m supposed to do this command? For instance, I know that instead of sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg I should just run update-grub, so…ya know. TIA for any advice.

We switched from mkinitcpio to dracut a few months ago.
Update initramfs is now done with

sudo dracut-rebuild

But that step and the one after (update grub) are not necessary, since executed automatically by a hook.

I'll be blunt avoid anything from CachyOS like the plague.

Why?...

Causae the OS has a lot of issues that need addressing.

I'm not installing the OS, just the kernel, and I feel like if it's good enough for the person that created the OS that we're using, it's probably pretty good. I've already noticed an uptick in snappiness to my system.

Xanmod already improves performance pretty good.

Installing v3 repositories further increases performance.

Cachyos, if I remember, I tried it and had problems, and Xanmod worked just fine.
