I am trying to Install Garuda Dr460nized on my Asus U24A (Intel i5 3210M with 6GB ram) and everytime i tried to install i get 'Failed to create a partition table' whether i choose Erase disk(both options) and even on trying manual partition with MBR partition table. Bios doesnt have secure boot option in this machine Asus-U24A . I need help if its possible to install or if any other varient of Garuda will work.
I removed windows OS completely. I tried to install ubuntu as well when Garuda faced these issues but i got a some unknown error while installing Ubuntu too.

What if you try to create the partitions first, from the live USB (hopefully with Gparted), then retry the installation?
Second option would be to erase your disk from the live USB with dd
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=1m
Then retry the installation.

Usually /dev/sda should be the computer's intenal storage. I don't know why your USB Drive is detected like this.
Have you selected the proper device (/dev/sdb ) while installing?
Also try what Filo posted above.

I dont understand what you trying to say as i am new to linux environment, but can it be because I am currently executing the command from USB in live boot???
While installing, make sur you select /dev/sdb as the intallation device. This option is at th top, where you can chose Erase disk , Manual Partition and all option.

Alien:
command given by Filo
So, to erase your HD it should be
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb bs=1m
in your case, of course (sdX was a generic example)
Your BIOS is dated 2012. Is that the most current one offered by the manufacturer for that old piece of metal?

Are you sure your computer does not include secure boot in the bios. Some laptops make you install an administrator password in the bios before you can disable secure boot.
Also be sure your hard drives controller is set to AHCI mode in your bios (not optane etc).
