…Installing, using, modifying. It´s all an absolute joy. As a Lvl 2 Linux-n00b and a Lvl 20 Swedish sailor I´cant express the joy of using Garuda enough.
My newborn and also a human baby/future user.
Welcome to Linux, and Garuda. I was 45 when I fully switched to Linux myself after growing up through the years in the 80’s and 90’s (my 1st PC was a Commodore 64) of watching the tech world transition to what it is now. Having danced between Windows & Macintosh (UNIX) in the past 10yrs I had finally had enough disappointment watching proprietary giants not having the best interests of its users.
I believe Linux is on the rise and the giants know it and there is nothing they can do to stop it which I’m very grateful for. I believe we will see a lot more not only within the Linux community but also within the tech world transitioning to Linux. It only makes sense 98% of servers are Linux based so why shouldn’t everything else be? The biggest hurdle is getting non-Linux Users to not just learn Linux but expand their minds in breaking free from the proprietary giants. But the more that Linux grows in the business and industry the more that users with have no choice but to learn it.
I still sample with other Linux distros but Garuda Linux & Arch is my home and I am as well very grateful and thankful to the Creators and Community of Garuda. I look forward to see how much further We (The users, community, & developers) grow and take Garuda to her fullest potential in this ever evolving world. Welcome again!
