i don’t even have windows

Is that your 1tb ssd though? If it is you will probably see your installs on grub now. & ofcourse your PC is begging you for a reboot.

my 1 TB ssd does not even show up on boot menu

this just showed up after i rebooted

lsblk -f

maybe

sudo update-grub

or

sudo grub-install
sudo update-grub

The error message are solved, solution is in the forum.

Ok, you did not change the name from garuda to something else before your second garuda install.
So, just use custom.conf in /boot/grub like

menuentry "Garuda Linux i3wm auf nvme0n1p7" {
   insmod btrfs
   search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root 21e02e96-0ed6-4629-9a39-85ffee7a4359
   configfile /@/boot/grub/grub.cfg
   }

im in my 1 tb drive and iam unable to copy the contents of grub.cfg to txt

like

grub.cfg >> o.txt
permission denied

Btw, read slowly, nobody talk about grub.cfg.

Files in / sometimes only editable when run as root.

update Garuda Hyprland, that should be fixed. You probably installed from an old iso.

This options were removed

    drop_shadow = true
    shadow_range = 4
    shadow_render_power = 3

For this:

    col.shadow = rgba(1a1a1aee)
    shadow {
        enabled = true
        range = 4
        render_power = 3
        color = rgba(1a1a1aee)
    }

I think this should be a differen’t topic though.

upd does not fix it, the user must copy the hyprland.conf from /etc/skel
, the solution was posted by Ankur here in the forum.

I am just tired to search for other people :smiley:

And

  • ONE issue per topic.
    :slight_smile:

I hate to say this but I don’t remember copying over anything and my hyprland.conf in ‘skel’ is in the right place with the latest content.

there is nothing in /etc/skel

latest iso which i downloaded today

Thats because a majority of the files are hidden.

Try ls -a

To save you time

just replace your hyprland.conf , with this

iam an idiot

the hyprland issue is solved but my main problem remains

I rarely contradict a user here, but insight is the best way to improve :wink:
