Nothing goes wrong. Everything is easy to find. It looks beautiful. I’m left sitting here with nothing to do fix, improve, tinker with or even worry about. Everything works perfectly.
Go to your room, Garuda Devs, and think about what you did!

Hi there @Malcanis.
Apperrenty, you’re not doing things right. What you need to do is read the forum’s “Issues & Assistance” section. In there, look for the users that post at least 2 threads a day looking for assistance. Send these users a PM and inquire as to how exactly they manage to get their systems tuned so well. I’m sure they can give you some super tips on how to get your system working “properly”.
I feel the same way as you, that’s why I installed nvidia drivers…but even with that everything works w/o issues!
That’s why I’ve now installed windows out of frustration and am trying to fix the subsequent bootloop after forced updates using only windows on-board tools.
Don’t forget to use the OS-wide dark theme
Oh wait…
Compliment/Complaint of the year
Thanks this post made a bad day better.
Fun fact: Turns out every problem I’ve had so far had one thing in common — me.
This is exactly my problem too!! At this point, I might need to switch distros just to have more problems to fix so that I can learn more about Linux. Idk maybe I should go install Gentoo or something.
How outrageous that my computer is actually letting me be productive with Garuda on it!
i can only agree with the previous speakers here, so to publish an os that simply works without problems after installation is not possible at all, so something is wrong here
so many thanks to all of you who have put so much work and effort into this really great os
Step 1: Install Garuda
Step 2: Change wallpaper to plain black (the dragon is cool, but seeing him on the lockscreen is fine ty)
Step 3: Use the well-chosen default settings and don’t mess with anything
Closing on 2 years of trouble-free Garuda use on 2 PCs !
My biggest problem is that Garuda is forcing me to purchase a new, more comfortable chair for my workstation! My lower back is killing me Garuda!!!
How to complain about problems for Linux Distro NOOB tutorial:
Step 1;
Get a USB key + BIOS file for your MOBO
Step 2;
Start the BIOS update
Step 3;
Pull out the power cable while your BIOS update is still running
Step 4;
Blame Linux for it
Everything, expect the above, is easy to fix on Linux
Nowadays, even such things are mostly easy to repair.
Things were different about 30 years ago. A friend of mine had flashed a wrong BIOS file. The mainboard was dead, of course. So I got an identical motherboard from another friend. I booted it into the BIOS flashing tool with the correct BIOS file on board. Then I levered out the BIOS module, which was just plugged in and not soldered as today, put in the broken flashed module and flashed the correct BIOS file. There has never been an action on a computer that made me sweat as much as this one. But it worked
Speaking of which, I feared that I had bricked my laptop completely after trying out arch-secure-boot (GitHub - maximbaz/arch-secure-boot: UEFI Secure Boot for Arch Linux + btrfs snapshot recovery). Turned out my bios did not allow me to select an efi file outside of /boot/efi/EFI, causing Secure Boot to fail. To make matters worse, it seemed I was unable to disable Secure Boot at some point, making me a bit desperate. Fortunately this turned out not to be the case (the BIOS GUI was just a bit silly). When I was finally able to boot into grub again, I encountered a grub specific error message. Naturally, I looked for answers using a regular search engine, and guess which forum I stumbled upon: (Error: symbol `grub_debug_malloc' not found after system update with new GRUB version). Thanks again, @SGS !
