But you should update now, to see if afterwards you can boot normally (with the procedure above to use the lts).
If it works, you could stay with the lts for a while and keep the linux-zen in your system, so it will be kept updated and, at every update, you could check if the issue was fixed.
If you want to set the lts as default kernel, that's a bit problematic due to (non-Garuda) bugs.
Here is my favourite procedure to change the default.
