Help with drivers for amd gpu

Hey all was looking at my gpu drivers and they seem to be out of date. I use a rx550 for one of my gaming pc’s and the driver set is 24.2.7 and on amd’s site they are at 24.20.3. Any help with getting my gpu to current drivers would great. as well as tell me where my unix is thanks all.

hope this helps im trying to update the card to current driver set. A sugustion for a program to install gpu drivers would be a huge help. Thank you.

nearest thing I can think of is Garuda Settings Manager’s Hardware configuration option which is a program you already have installed but you shouldn’t and shouldn’t have to mess with that. maybe click “auto install open-source driver” but i am not sure.
Screenshot_20241204_162707

i thought of that but wasn’t sure if clicking that would mess something up. Will this install the current drivers? I’m getting a few msg saying out of date drivers on some programs in vulkan but not openGL.

it would useful to get the exact nature of these messages like screenshot or some kind of log file. I honestly do not know what auto install does. I had an RX 570 a while back and never had any problems with anything.

hello sorry for bad post. I could use some simple diretions on how fix the a few things. I ran the auto update and now I cant run any of my gaames and my rx 550 is not working and snapper tools dont seam to be helping. I new to what you will need, but i think the auto cost me my system and I really bummed. Any help would be great Thank you

well what does that page i showed look like for you now? also I was waiting to see someone would say what auto install actually does before recommending it. i was just answering your question about a program that installs drivers.

when i restart nothing would work black on both screens. my file manager would come up but the rest of the system would not be working. i then used my mother boards video out put and snapper to get my gpu back working. Things worked after this. Now I’m worried that if i reboot after update i will end back up at the black screens.

wow. if the file manager comes up then the system if probably quite fixable. please run a garuda-inxi to get a proper idea of the system state and did you try running garuda update?
