GoXLR not working

OK just checking. So in pulse the GoXLR is the only output in the configuration tab? Just want to double check since yesterday that the hdmi / on board isn't stealing things.

Yes it's the only one. I deactivated the others like you said yesterday

Well crapola! Have you tried giving it stink eye?

Seriously and stupidly...in alsamixer try two things.

#1 press M on the master twice (mute unmute)

#2 press up and down to increase volume then bring it back to Unity.

This sounds stupid but I've experienced this with my set up where some times no audio BUT if I do one or both of those things...BLAM audio.

What do you mean by stink eye?

Stink eye is a joke for glaring at it. See my above two things to try.

Nah nothing happens. Should I try running the script at least?

The GoXLR script from github? If you haven't run it yet I'd say WHY haven't you heh I thought you already did.

I said I didn't :joy:

My lord man of course! Should have been the first thing you did heh. Now time has passed and I don't know if the script even applies to your model but try it.

No PA running. Please type a number to pick a default output device (0 to skip):

No PA running is odd, is it actually not running? What does it say for device selections? I don't see how PA isn't running when you had pauvcontrol up and showing signal before.

mini or full

does mini or full refer to the model of interface ? which should be obvious if it does because you said you have the mini

Yes Full for normal, mini for mini

Well obviously choose mini ;p

Of course I choosed mini. I don't even understand TC Helicon for their stupid only windows support

Heh like I was saying earlier it's funny on the product page it's just people bitching about it being Windows only. Funny but also kinda screams "So then don't buy it"

How long have you had it and why did you buy it? (just curious)

I bought it early 2021 when Windows bricked my dual-boot. Was on the same drive. Bought it with my whole audio setup. I had music lessons during that time and got recommondations during that time. My teacher recommonded me the Focusrite 3rd Gen. I asked him if the GoXLR Mini is alright for my usecases. Well I should have gone with the Focusrite. He said yes so I bought. At that time I was daily-driving windows 10 again. But with windows 11/windoof 11 I wanna make the switch again. Before I had this audio setup I already used linux on other devices.

100% should have gone focusrite, you'd have zero problems.

I'm also thinking about the Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD but I don't know if it runs. Well TC-Helicon is part of behringer if I have it right so meh
