Garuda updater errors out on first update/fresh install

Hey all,

So, I think it's important to denote that I'm brand new to Linux, a friend was gaming on his garuda lappy, and praising how gaming is finally viable on Linux. I had always thought about trying Linux, but gaming is really al I do on the pc. So, now that it's viable I decided to go ahead and grab the Garuda Dr460nized gaming edition, chunked off a decent sized partition, IDK if this is relevant but I formatted said partition in Fat32, and then began the install. I chose to replace a partition, and selected my newly chunked partition, and it install with no problems. Rebooted, and was met with the Setup Assistant which instantly told me to update, I did, and that's where it errored out. Here's the garuda-inxi file(?) that the template asked for...

and then here's a screenshot of the output from the terminal where it errored out.

(If someone can suggest a better way to use privatebin, I'd appreciate the advice. I didn't really know what I was doing and just asked chatgpt)

Any help would be amazing as I'm not entirely sure how to even query a google search for the problem. I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong spot, or am overstepping in any way. It's just that trying to learn Linux is like trying to drink from a firehose. Also, do spoiler tags not work here, or did I do it wrong? TIA

A better way would be to copy and paste the terminal output as text. Images of terminal output should be avoided because they are useless when searching for errors.

An easy way to copy and paste terminal output is to highlight the text, then “click” the middle button (the scroll wheel) where you want to paste it.

Terminal output should be in code blocks, which you can do by wrapping the output in three tildes (~) before and after,

The error you have encountered came up recently in the forum:

Go ahead and give that solution a shot and let me know how it goes.

Wow, thank you so much for all of that. So it seems to have worked perfectly, and Setup Assistant is moving on. Here's to getting it all figured out, eventually, and leaving Windows in the past! Cheers!

This issue has now been fixed on chaotic-aur's end and shouldn't happen again.
