OK, I'll try to make a PKGBUILD to build from source first. I need to set up a Go-free environment somewhere.
One note: building the gotk3 library on older machines may take a lot of time. For instance on my old testing laptop it happened to last 20 minutes, with no single line to confirm that it still works. It may be misleading as hell.
Thats not an issue for us, Chaotic-AUR exists as well to provide such packages as binary 
I know. But a part of AUR users will give up before it's ready.
@OdiousImp Could you please tell me if nwg-bar and nwg-dmenu are in actual use in Garuda sway? I'm going to code both commands in Go sooner or later. It would be sooner if I knew that someone needs them.
nwg-bar is used. nwg-dmenu is not.
(nwg-launchers will be replaced with nwg-drawer and I will also possibly use nwg-menu

The padding is slightly too large for the button but I'm not sure where that's coming from

Yes. If necessary, some elements could be given their own #name, e.g. #category-button. Just let me know.

What’s wrong with the drawer? Looks well to me, apart from icons missing from categories. This has been fixed on the Master branch, but it seems I forgot to release it before going on vacation, sorry.
Here we have a language issue (and I'm unsure too). Are you using the American idiom 'sick' as in 'cool or good'? or sick as in 'unwell' ? I'm familiar with both but unsure which you mean (lol).
