Reason for plymouth removal in garuda-update?

I've been trying to figure out why my plymouth screen stopped working for a few days now (off and on, not nonstop) but I just ran garuda-update and saw this "The "splash" (Plymouth) kernel parameter was removed from your GRUB configuration automatically to ensure system stability. Plymouth may be enabled manually again, but it is strongly recom mended to keep plymouth disabled" message. Is there a reason why this is the case?
