The future of gaming looks bright, with the emergence of new technologies such as virtual reality and the increased prevalence of mobile gaming. Virtual reality (VR) has the potential to revolutionize the gaming industry by immersing players in a fully interactive and realistic digital world.

I agree, but the downside is it takes about a $700+ USD graphic card to enjoy VR. Plus all the VR gear expenses. I would like to see the prices come down.

My recent COD experience rant. So the story is. I was looking for a decent "Battlefield" like shooter and decided get new MW II Warzone 2.0 | MP and paid for the standard edition.

So I was quite happy with how it launched as I did not focus on the previous installment much.. So the content was quite high quality and gameplay mechanics were decent. So whats the problem?

So the issue I have with this game is that the Season 1 + 2 + 3 content is just Skins.. And you are forced to grind through these skins and suggested to pay for them to actually owne them.. which most ppl do not even care about. Let me clarify.. I'd be happy to pay 10eur for a season if it had real content. But they don't include actual content. I feel like the gaming industry is in the gutter.. Like no one is able to even replicated BF4 / BF3 level of content. (Do not get me started on the p.o.s called 2042).

I guess my only hope now is "Hell Let loose" or similar. Maybe there is going to be a modern Arma game in the near future. It seems only indie studios are able to put out decent content now a days.

This is going to be fun for sure. I hope the actually add more new maps.. Some of the recent additions to the playlist have been quite good.

A win for me is that I can play CS on my Garuda.

Yes, I like the new smoke, and the way it disappears using grenade and bullets. Will be Quite fun

Also, skin prices going up

Yep, actually better than windows indeed (at least on my laptop, Omen 15, 5800h + 3060). Kudos
:beers:

Baldurā€™s Gate 3 countdown: Exact start time and date

Larian Studios has published the official start time for Baldurā€™s Gate 3, which is a global release and will be available to players around the world at the same time. Release times can be seen below:

8am PDT (Los Angeles)
11am EDT (New York/Quebec)
12pm BRT (Rio De Janeiro)
4pm BST (London)
5pm CST (Berlin)
1am, Aug. 4 (Sydney)
3am, Aug. 4 (Auckland)

Developer Larian has recommended players who have taken part in early access uninstall their game and delete their save files to avoid issues at launch. Unfortunately, players will have to wait until the release time to start their download of the full game as a Baldurā€™s Gate 3 preload is not available. The game is also quite large, over 100 GB, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to download it before you start playing.

That One Must Fall 2097 intro is therapeutic. Iā€™m just gonna let the song play for a while until it sinks in.

Some interesting talks on Heroic Launcher, Maxima Launcher (a new project that is a EA launcher), and UMU (which lets games use pressure-vessel containers outside of Steam).
UMU has a database (that uses CSV files) for games outside of Steam so it can trigger Proton fixes. UMU as a backend for gaming outside Steam is looking very promising as the game database has over a thousand entries already.
