Fresh install Hyprland can't login

Hy

I use garuda dragonized KDE (my Garuda KDE system) over a year now. It is really great, Thank you Gadruda Team!

I recently bought a laptop Dell Vostro 3580 I5-intel vga only. I installed the garuda hyperland 4 times today but i was not able to login. I give password and just drop me back to the login screen.

Open .config/hypr/hyprland.conf
search for

input {
    kb_layout = de   # or us

and change it. And comment

# Set keyboard layout
#exec-once = .local/bin/garuda-locale.sh

Only one question and encrypt is special:D

  • After rebooting, post the FULL output of garuda-inxi in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)

  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>) , or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

I’m having the same issue; I can’t log in. It keeps redirecting to the login screen.

I only managed to log in when I used Linux Live, loading NVIDIA drivers, but after installation, I couldn’t.

My specs:
Dell Inspiron 15 3511
11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz
Intel Tigerlake (Gen12)

New thread please, post garuda-inxi, you use Nvidia GPU

Use forum search too!

Thanks, it works.

I am in uk so set it to “gb”
and comment the line what you suggested for me.

Is there some problem in the iso or why is not working out of the box?

okay, i will open an other topic later. :smile: Now i will try set it up. after kde, hyprland is way “harder” set up. ( because i just start use now. )
