Fresh install fails to update; octopi-0.16.2-2 and alpm_octopi_utils-1.0.2-5 are in conflict

Hello,

I’ve been trying to install Garuda, and it initially installs successfully, but the first thing it does after install is try to do updates. That initial update doesn’t work, and gives a message that says if it keeps happening, to check the forums.

After getting no hits on these searches for the error message, I figured it’s time to ask the experts, so here I am  How should I proceed?

Thank you for the help!!

You pressed “n” for no, why?
You need to remove alpm_octopi_utils, so press “y” for yes.

Thank you. ‘n’ was the default option, so I chose that. I have now re-run the update, but choosing ‘y’. The system says it successfully updated, but now after reboot it no longer outputs video to my center (primary) monitor, but still outputs video to the side monitors. Right now my work-around is to unplug the main monitor so windows appear on a side monitor. I’m not sure if the monitor issue is side effect of the chosen resolution or a separate issue, or what the next steps would be to resolve the monitor issue. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Here is the new garuda-inxi after update and unplugging the main monitor:
