Firedragon keeps losing bookmarks, session and extentions

As in the topic, it’s a rather repeating occurrence, sometimes happening twice a week, sometimes won’t happen for two weeks but in the end will happen anyway, regardless of version, it was happening on earlier versions, and still happens on 11.28:

Trying any “guides” from the web, as well as the link from the learn more being rather useless.

The behaviour from the screen is just wiping previous session as well as removing my mozilla account, all the saved open tabs just vanish, and considering I’m leaving like 6-8 tabs open that I want/need for tomorrow’s work it’s rather annoying to search for it all in the history, because for some reason history of visited pages work, but restoring previous session/closed window doesn’t.
Same with the extensions, while they remain installed, even after logging back to my account and waiting for sync, I still need to enable each one of them manually.

Maybe you could try these troubleshooting steps:

I’m quite sure I did that some time ago, but I’ll try again regardless. The only issue is that as I mentioned, sometimes it’d happen right on the next day I turn on my PC, and sometimes a week passes and nothing happens, and I always close my system through the session → shut down.

You definitely should try creating a fresh profile: Either by opening about:profile or run FireDragon with firedragon -P.

I will say 11.29.0.1 did set the default profile so you had to go into about:profiles and repick that one you used before. But this is the first time I’ve seen it happen since the floorp rewrite. Ive never seen that error either but, a fresh one might be best for you for sure.

Well, I’ve deleted all the previous profiles and created a new one. I’ll see how it’ll go…

It happened again on a reinstalled browser with a brand new profile… so yeah  I guess I’ll just go back to regular firefox…

Is profile-sync-daemon running by chance? systemctl --user status psd ?

Any hard shutdowns or similar things?

this?

and no, each time I end for the day I use the regular shut-down menu

For what it’s worth, perhaps syncing bookmarks might be a useful (partial) workaround? I’m using Floccus ( GitHub - floccusaddon/floccus: ☁ Sync your bookmarks privately across browsers and devices ) to sync to a git repo, which means I have the option to rollback.
