Why isn’t the browser window being used to its full potential? Is everyone working on their cell phones now? ![]()
Can the menu on the left be closed?

Looks like you have letterboxing enabled, can you check in the Advanced tab in the Hub?
I’d also like to learn, how to disable the new startpage? I just need a distraction-free empty blank new-tab with the input focus on the address bar, just as z3n wrote. I am working since an hour on this, it starts to get really annoying.
I tried exactly what was suggested here - and a lot more (uninstalling garuda-browser-settings, deleting /usr/lib/firedragon/distribution/distribution.ini) and asked perplexity about how to disable that behaviour, but no luck, that new startpage persists. browser.newtab.page set to about:blank does not work either.
Is ‘~/.firedragon/firedragon.overrides.cfg’ the file, what to put in it?
Thanks for your help with that!
You can “Disable FireDragon Start” under “UI Customization” in the “Tab & Appearance” tab in the Hub. After the restart you get the default Firefox new tab page.
The search function on the new startpage does not work for me. By typing a search term, “No results found” appears and nothing happens when I click on “search.”
What do you have set as default search engine in settings?
Can you try running this in the console (Right Click > Inspect > Console) on the new tab page and post the result: await FDSearchEngine.GetDefaultEngine()
I know this is a controversial opinion, but is there a way to add the LLM panel to firedragon? I’d like to use it!
Do you mean the AI Chatbot, if so you first need to enable “browser.ml.chat.enabled” in “about:config” and afterwards you can open it by either adding the sidebar button to your toolbar (using “Customize Toolbar”) and then switching to it at the top or though the menu (Press Alt > View> Sidebar > AI Chatbot).
thank you! I thought that feature wasn’t present at all
The default search engine in settings is Garuda´s searX.
There is no such result but here the complete output:

Can you please open the Browser Console (Press Alt > Tools > Browser Tools > Browser Console, alternatively Ctrl + Shift + J) and see if any errors pop up there when running the command from before?
OK, there is…

EDIT:
Due to its length, I have uploaded it to my private folder. Opening the new tab starts at around line 150.
Just to check, you have form history explicitly disabled?
Yes.
Thanks, then I know what the issue is. Will be fixed in the next version.
The “Keep Tab Awake” checkmark is gone, is this a Floorp thing or a FD thing..?
I’m using a sidebar tab for my chat usage, and something wrong doesn’t seem right with it…
IDK, it seems to me that you jumped the gun too early on this one, I might see to downgrading the browser version to fix those things…
FD does not play with that feature.
What do you have set in about:config for the setting floorp.tabsleep.enabled
Plz don’t expect us to test 100% of the features.
Does the same problem happen when using Floorp?
What if you try from a new Profile?
