During booting, Computer hangs stating setfont KDEFONTOP function not implemented[SOLVED]

Hello there,
I am having an issue when i attempt to boot normally. I am still able to boot by going to recovery mode and allowing the GUI to start. My issue is the computer hangs stating the error:
"setfont KDEFONTOP: Function not implemented."
I have looked through other threads but the issue seems to persist. I attempted to place setfont in the binary and execute sudo mkinitcpio -P.

Hi Luke, welcome to the community. :slightly_smiling_face:

Test if you are affected by a recent plymouth-git bug by replacing it with plymouth while booted to the recovery mode.

sudo pacman -S plymouth

Thank you so much, that worked.

I don't know why this didn't fix it for me

Perhaps your problem is something else. :grinning:

I have followed up on the topic you opened here so we do not hijack this thread with an unrelated issue.
