Displaylink installation fails

I'm trying to install Displaylink Linux driver for the Dell docking station by using Add/Remove Software app, and the installation gets stuck with the following error:

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm VERY new to Garuda (i've being using Linux Mint for several years), so I need some more guidance on how to post questions on this forum. After I read your comments, I still have questions:

• Was a format (copied text and not a screen shot) of the error information correct?

• Instead of posting my question here, do I have to send a Bug Report or the Reporting bugs should be done in addition to the post here?

I was using the Add/Remove Software app. I found Displaylink drivers there, ran installation that hot stuck in the middle with the error message I copied in my initial post here.

I wasn't using Terminal, I did it in Add/Remove Software.

Note: Displaylink 5.4 needs evdi 1.9. evdi 1.9.0 is NOT compatible with kernel >= 5.11.

Someone on that site suggested to use the installer created for Ubuntu. I've tried it with a such result:

Solved! "This was fixed by running sudo pamac build displaylink instead of using the pamac GUI."
