Hey ! I'm new linux user and i want to know how i can create and use another virtual desktop ?
On Garuda KDE Dr460nized it was done automatically, but now in Garuda Cinnamon its not the same. Can you help me ?

Thank you

Hi @Loutre, welcome to the community. :slightly_smiling_face:

They are in Cinnamon by default as well, only Cinnamon calls them "workspaces". Press Ctrl+Alt+ to switch to the next workspace, and Ctrl+Alt+ to switch to the previous one. If you press Ctrl+Alt+ it will give you an overview of all workspaces:

If you want to change the keybindings for manipulating the workspaces you can find them in Keyboard -> Workspaces -> Shortcuts:

Thank you so much for your reply @BluishHumility !
Ctrl+Alt+🠕 is working fine but i cant switch to the next or previous workspace even if i change the shortcut.
Do you have an idea ?

What are you trying to change it to?

I did several tests like: Alt+Super+Right or just F2 but it still doesn't work
edit : direct navigation doesn't work too for me

Hmm, this works fine for me. Yours looks like this?

Hi there, welcome to the community.

Just uninstall the gtile and desktop cube extensions ( just search in menu for extensions )

And reboot.

Thanks for reminding me, I removed them from garuda-cinnamon-settings too.

Have a good day

Edit : Ohh yes, and thanks @BluishHumility , this is working for you because here

You already removed them

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! :joy:

Ohh, I forgot to tell you one more thing, that you might find useful.

You can use 4 finger swipe to change workspace using touchpad.

That's use 4 fingers and swipe right to switch to current workspace -1, and vice versa.

Yes ! I already knew this technique which is also present on windows. Thanks !
