Configure Mirrors

Hello.

Referring to this post, which is quite helpful, but as I tried opening Reflector Simple and get a list of mirrors, all of them timed out, or were forbidden, or read operation timed out in some cases

My question is, can we setup our own mirror for packages via reverse proxy?
like on cloudflare worker maybe.
Or any other solutions?

while i also tried in Konsole:

╭─lostb053@lostb053 in ~ took 6s
✦ [🔴] × sudo reflector --latest 15 --age 2 --fastest 20 --protocol https --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
error: failed to retrieve mirrorstatus data: timeout: The read operation timed out

Read

man reflector
sudo reflector --country Germany,France --latest 5 --age 2 --fastest 5 --protocol https --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist && cat /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist && sudo pacman -Syu

let me ask you this btw
it says failed to rate and timed out
yet it updates system
so am i just wondering about nothing?

Use rate-mirrors instead. It is much better at finding mirrors in situations where the network is a challenge, there are geo-blocks or other impediments.
