Close laptop lid but monitor stays on

hi,

I want to set up Garuda on my wife's computer!

I use it regularly on my system which is a desktop. However, she wants it on her laptop! She occasionally connects the laptop to an external monitor and closes the lid.

I want to know if there is a way to configure the laptop such that even after closing the lid, the power stays on the external monitor and it is functional...

I know how to do this on Gnome, but no idea about KDE. I want to install KDE on her system because Gnome is a resource hog and her system won't be able to take it!

Thanks

You might give a look at this one. Although I'm not really sure:

yeah, I read that article...

But it doesn't work properly like Gnome...

Guess KDE lacks this feature.. I'll go raise a feature request then! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks anyway
