Chaotic-AUR | Packages | Requests | Recompilation | Reports

Welcome!
I understand you are experiencing some technical difficulties with your package manager.
I am going to try and help you by referring you to a pacman documentation.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman#"Failed_to_commit_transaction_(conflicting_files)"_error

It seems as if you may be running into a similar error from within your Virtual Machine. From my understanding, the issue is happening from either an invalid or corrupted package or from conflicting files.

I noticed the searxng-git package installs fine from chaotic, but running searxng-run doesn’t work without extra/python-typer and aur/python-msgspec.
Could those be added as dependencies in the pkgbuild, and the latter to chaotic? That would be wonderful.

Could we get librewolf updated to 133.0 ?
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/librewolf

It appears I can’t edit my post above …

The aur package was updated to 133.0-1 on 2024-11-29 21:26 (UTC)

yay -Ss librewolf
chaotic-aur/librewolf 132.0-1 (86.1 MiB 236.6 MiB)
Community-maintained fork of Firefox, focused on privacy, security and freedom.
aur/librewolf 133.0-1 (+144 6.03)
Community-maintained fork of Firefox, focused on privacy, security and freedom.

Is there a specific reason why this package is not automatically compiled at times? I’m asking that because on 2024-08-07 exactly the same happened (see above).
Am I’m supposed to open a github issue instead?

Looks like the build failed. I’ll try re-running it.

Thanks for the re-build.
Is there something that needs to be reported on
AUR (en) - librewolf ?

No, but thank you. It was an issue on our end

For future reference, you can have a look this page to see what’s going on:

Simply search for the package name to see when a build happened and its outcome. Packages should be updated and started building every hour full hour in most cases.

Full disclosure: Not sure Linux support is really completed for this app. But is there any chance this could be added?

Hello just wanted to give a recommendation.

It seems that medusalix/xone is no longer being maintained and that dlundqvist/xone is now merging all the PR on their github repo.

Even the Arch wiki is recommending it in section 3.7.3. It might be a good idea to update the default xone option in the garuda assistant

Hello, I need a package on Chaotic if possible
amd-zen-ucode-platomav
In contains right ucode for my cpu, without it i have a system freez every hour or so because the amd-ucode on the bios or on the kernel is older and not well compatible with linux
when I try to install amd-zen.ucode-platomav wit paru I have this error
ā€œCannot find the strip binary required for object file strippingā€
so I can’t install it using AUR
It will be good if it is on Chaotic, installong it can save my laptop form force restar every hour
Previously i was able to laod a good amd-ucode on /root but since november it seems kernel doesn’t load microcode that are not on the kernel so I have all those freez every hour of use.
Thanks

Install binutils or better base-devel to avoid that something else is missing to build packages.

Here is my feedback request… Ungoogled Chromium…please get that back on Chaotic-Aur. I’m getting sick of compining this over and over each month for a week strate >.<

got annoyed too. switched to the -bin version. It’s a workaround

Can you add the package kdeconnect-no-mdns to chaotic, if possible?

Thanks

ffmpeg-full still doesn’t work, as usual

ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libopenvino_c.so.2460: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I tried compiling from AUR and it’s not working either…

ERROR: failed checking for nvcc.

That means the Chaotic AUR is not the issue. You should leave a comment on the AUR package page.
