It’s not available on the AUR, so we cannot. It’s easily installable with pip though, so I recommend you look into creating a virtual environment to use it.

Now it’s 2 libraries that fail consistently after updates: mpv-full and droidcam.
Is this problem ever going to have a solution?
It’s a problem to never know when key software will work or not.
Try to install it from the AUR with Paru.
paru -S aur/droidcam
If it fails the same way, it is an issue with the package and not something the Chaotic repo can solve. You should leave a comment on the AUR page for the package, where the maintainer will actually see it.

Installing with Paru should work, that’s what I’m doing with MPV, rebuilding mpv-full-git after every update that breaks it; but having to manually build several apps after each update really gets to be a pain. I’m delaying updates to once a week at most because of that.

mpv-full and droidcam were rebuilt. Especially mpv-full has tons of shared libs, therefore this happens quite often. I’m looking forward to Infra 4.0 being able to take care of this in the future (

There are no ignored packages.
droidcam reinstalls from the repo on update and still fails so I’d have to add that to the ignored packages?
and spectacle still failing; could do the same and install spectacle-git but that gets to be a really ugly solution
What is Infra 4.0 and when is that coming out?

What exactly is the use case for this? It’s only used by one package, which is also available on PyPI.

Infra 4.0 in this context means that a job will be automatically started to rebuild the package when any one of the dependencies updates, rather than how we currently check for updates (hourly/daily basis). What that means for you as a bleeding-edge user is less breakage due to faster updates, especially thanks to automatically bumped packages when dependency updates are found.

flutter package broke for me
seems that the new split into multiple packages has caused some issues?
iirc flutter has been a single package before
could not satisfy dependencies:
- unable to satisfy dependency 'flutter-engine-linux=3.19.4' required by flutter-target-linux
- unable to satisfy dependency 'flutter-target-linux=3.19.4' required by flutter
