You mean chaotic-aur, but chaotic seems to be garuda, but garuda offer only her infra structure to chaotic, besides others. Its win, win .
Thankfully to the Donors for Garuda Linux and chaotic-aur and her supporters .
They all benefit and will perhaps become supporters themselves in due course.
Upstream is discontinued, this will not be added
If the maintainer were to actively update the patch all the time, it could be added back. As it stands, it breaks regularly and so it isn’t up to our [Chaotic-AUR’s] quality standards.
It’s not so simple as just building a normal package. Someone must manually create the patch in the first place, and therein lies the problem. Imagine how not fun it is to update patches like this every time there’s any update…
unity-menubar.patch - aur.git - AUR Package Repositories + fix_csd_window_buttons.patch - aur.git - AUR Package Repositories + assert.patch - aur.git - AUR Package Repositories
what about these projects Chaotic-AUR | Packages | Requests | Recompilation | Reports - #680 by houssem.kochat9
and this one AUR (en) - kaiteki-bin
Not to forget Ubuntu doesn’t update this patch anymore in the first place. Also the reason why Firedragon has no appmenu anymore
Oops, seems I missed your message before.

Materialgram we can try to build and hope the size is reasonable, but it seems to not have been touched in a long time, it may not work.
-
Ebou seems decent to add
-
There are not any non-binary versions of liftoff or of kaiteki, so I’m inclined to not add them.
One of the reasons we provide -bin
versions is the speed of the source it comes from. If the source is GitHub, they have no shortage of fast downloads to provide with their infinite bandwidth. For that reason, it’d be a waste for us to mirror the same file.
i understand , yeah it seems like ebou is the only package worth integrating
It’s available now
Today i successfully swapped out swayidle and swaylock on my hyprland system for the new hypridle and hyprlock packages from the hyprland team. I’m using the AUR git packages right now, but would be nice to have them on Chaotic-AUR soon. Those 2 packages are in a very early stage but do the job quite nice.
Can you add ayugram-desktop?
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ayugram-desktop
Both are added
Unfortunately this will not be added, the reasons are explained in the previous request for it:
A question about grub-theme-garuda, since yesterday a garuda-update -a wants to replace the chaotic-AUR version with an AUR version, is that right?
This does not look right, afaik! Need to look into this
Yeah, I noticed it too, It removed the garuda themed grub and made it simple plain grub, now it’s just black background with white texts
Same. I normally use pamac to update packages so I didn’t think much of it. Luckily, Snapper Tools had my back
Running garuda-update without -a
doesn’t pull up that update. However, it does show in pamac. For now, I’m updating packages via terminal
it’s funny, for me it’s just the opposite
since a few days I have the garuda themed grub
never knew that existed. Since my first install a few months ago I had plain one
Can you guys please add nwg-hello for me when you get a chance?
Sure we can!
Done in 5 min., record
