Chaotic-AUR adopts generic_v3 optimized kernels

Hello everybody,

Following the release of GCC11 in ArchLinux's core repository, the idea now is to follow the official ArchLinux's project trend and have everything optimized for "x86-64-v3" or falling back to the "v1".

As the first move, we're now dropping all "architecture-specific" packages of the beloved "linux-tkg". You'll find in the repo either the generic one (e.g: "linux-tkg-bmq"), and a v3-optimized one (e.g: "linux-tkg-bmq-generic_v3").

Thanks to that PDS and CFS builds are back!

NOTE: In the future, once ArchLinux has the new v3 repos working well, we'll then move the v3-optimized under our v3 repos without the "-generic_v3" suffix.

sorry i get many errors in /usr/lib/modules exists in linux-tkg-bmq as also in linux-tkg-bmq-generic_v3

https://bin.garudalinux.org/?6ec7fbce4bf4cd8d#Hcvob21cgKdyiz1E4DtK4UiAkDyBuq9FyCdCKAHeUaY5

Well its one and the same package, just for compiled with other flags so thats to be expected :eyes:

I am running into the same problems. I think that you will need to uninstall linux-tkg-bmq, reboot and then install the v3. I would really like if v3 just replaced v1 so that there was a smoother transition. Sounds like this will be happening in the future.

yes it functions i just deinstall v1 and install v3 it works
but you must first and only deinstall v1 there are some warnings and then you can install v3 thanks

did you notice any difference in speed between v1 and v3?
