Changing the GRUB menu background image

I would like to change the background image in the Grub menu. The instructions for this can be found here Customize Grub to Get a Better Experience With Linux
However, grub-customizer and garuda boot options are in conflict with each other. Replacing the Garuda Boot Options with the customizer is obviously out of the question!

Is there a way to change the background image in the garuda boot options while retaining the layout?

Use forum search, please. Ups, @nepti

I think the solution is more likely to be found in the linked thread.

And yes, I am very aware of the dangers!

Thanks sgs and @nepti.

It wasn’t rocket science

The first attempt failed because I didn’t notice that I had to rename the image to background.png

Oh, the way through the terminal, of course! I’ll put that in my pipe and smoke it! (hinter die Ohren schreiben)
I took a different route, but with the same result
