I installed Garuda Linux (Gnome version) but despite the fact that I put in a username and password, i can't log in. When the system finishes installing i see a screen with User garuda. I don't know the password of that so i couldn't log in. I manage to get another login screen in which i could put my username and password, but I get the error message "sorry it didn't work. I'm not a Linux guy but i install it to learn more about Linux but I'm already disappointed. I reboot my laptop but now i get the message that the operating system was missing. I don't get it. I thought that it was installed on the system.
Are you removing the USB key and rebooting after installation?
I think that i know what the problem is. At 85% of installing the system suddenly goes off dark. When you press a button it shows the user garuda. That is the installer user. What they should correct is that the system never goes off dark during installing, nor will it goes into screensaver mode. it should install to 100% first.
Or even better the user read the install Wiki 1st, the password if any is garuda
You could also ping Mr torvals and tell him his Kernel is faulty as it goes into power saving mode turning the screen off in live mode. to save the planet Lol
Welcome here by the way Great distro great community shame about the dog
I thought it was just a lock screen and doesn't put the system to sleep during installation, but I could be wrong.
Either way, the login information is at the top of the Downloads page in the section titled "Please Read".
Some people use the Live USB version for more than just installing the distro. Some people might complain about missing security features or having them disabled by default. That's the thing about choosing default settings, people have different preferences and it's hard to please everyone. But when it comes to security/privacy, having such options enabled by default to protect the user is a good idea.
I think that I didn't make myself clear enough.
I said that the screen goes off in some kind of screensaver mode. I would prefer that didn't happen. Because of that, I press on a button and I see a login screen with user Garuda. I do put the password garuda in it but it was not working. I reboot the system and did a new installation and this time the password garuda was working and it was after hitting the password that I saw that the installation was ongoing and that it was at 85%. That's why it couldn't find any OS as I stated in my first message. Don't come here to tell me to read the install wiki, cause that not the way to talk to people on the forum.
Better behave when talking to me because i don't like your tone. Especially when you don't know what you are talking about and assuming a lot.
Hardware installation begins at 85%. Have you checked the compatibility of your hardware?
Even if you don't want anything other than to install the Light version, you seem to get stuck at this point without any announcement.
Noticed too late. You have already installed Garuda.
That’s the only way, we don’t spoon feed the user.
Post the full name of ISO you try to install.

You should have read my message carefully before telling me a lot of bulshitt
I don't need your spoon feed. Don't attack the user cause i was not attacking you.
is my right to say that i don't like the tone here. A lot of insults and insinuations simply because someone ask a question or report something. Change your attitude please!
You are the one who is being impolite and in attack mode here. Others were only attempting to help and you felt it necessary to escalate things and start confrontations.
The distro is completely gratis, use it or don't. This is not a commercial help desk, you have contributed nothing to the distro, and the distro owes you nothing. If the distro does not satisfy your needs use another, but I've personally heard enough from you for a while.
Don't come on our forum to complain about the help you've recieved. When begging for help it is incumbent upon the user to be extra polite and appreciative of help offered. You have done neither, and as such you can go elsewhere for assistance.
Reditt is more in tune with users with your attitude, seek assistance there if you want to be rude. You are silenced here for the next 2 weeks so you can rethink your behaviour on our forum.
Hello,
I was wondering if you can help me with the same problem. I noticed that this happened right after I update Garuda after installation. This is the second time it happened to me. The first time I thought it was because I chose two different passwords for root and the adm user. So I have to reinstall everything again because I read somewhere in the forum that someone had the same problem and that fix it. This time as I was withing for the updates the screen locked and now I can only use the guess account. Could you indicate me what I could read to fix this issue. The result of the inxi -Fxxxza:

I hope I am not Interrupt the main Conversation. I am new in the forum and I did not know if I should open a new question when it looks like this question has been asked before.
Thanks a lot for your kind answer.
Welcome, @207214
It can be seen as hijacking, so a separate thread is advised.
Though symptoms may appear similar, this is not always the case - so it helps you, too.
Thanks for the tip I just created a new thread.
