Sorry i have the Garuda Dr460nized Gaming and no matter what theme i download i change the theme , but i dont get splas screen or dock ( if any) background picture ) i get the icons that is all i get and the wallpaper is all the time Brezzer
i just tried to download Mokka and i lost the taskbar
so i am kinda forced to only have Garuda Dr460nized Gaming themes
is ther ea way i can get a log to upload

First: you mean theme “Breeze” :innocent:
Second: without your garuda-inxi …is it at the moment useless to help you. Your knowledge about plasma theming and changing or handmade downloaded theming stuff + “installing” this stuff to use this is current not the best.
for this.. pls post your current garuda-inxi and pls read before you open a topic the template stuff..before.

:warning: Missing information requested in the template may result in not receiving assistance :warning:

Make sure you have done the following before you post:

Issue still unresolved? Then:

  • ONE issue per topic.
  • Describe your issue in detail. The more we know, the better we can help
  • Show us the results of your searches, and what you’ve tried
  • After rebooting, post the FULL output of garuda-inxi in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)
  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>), or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

The template above should be deleted before posting your help request.

And of course it exist a “log” file if you use the “default” way to change the theme (but not if you have downloaded theming stuff + copy this stuff in the correct folders)
pls.. post your garuda-inxi :index_pointing_at_the_viewer:

open terminal / konsole command: garuda-inxi

Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>), or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

or use garuda- rani to do this. (tab Diagnostics)

as Info:
Garuda Linux dr460nized + Mokka always have their own theme. You can design it yourself at any time via plasma “systemsettings”. From there you can also install new themes + more and design your desktop the way you like. You should know we “stay” now on “plasma6” and perhaps you should install current themes made for plasma6. (my mind)
Inside systemsettings you find also settings for more then only “global theme.”
Change there + try first there for your look and feel. (background, color, etc)
Use your search engine for changing theme stuff inside Plasma. Test and try self..
Every time you can go back to the “default” settings if you click on the global theme drag or Mokka.

That’s wrong, default you have a Garuda dr460nized/Mokka background picture and not a picture from kde.
Sorry… but i mean you stay/work the first time on Linux and perhaps it’s better for you to use
a " beginner " distro. You work current on a Arch based distro + rolling distro and it’s Garuda Linux, with own style and much more. You have a lot to learn …and Arch Linux is default not for beginner. (my mind)

It’s a bit dated but it will teach you how to theme plasma.
*Note there’s way more stuff now then there was then, but it will get you started. And no you don’t have to go with the mac like theme you can replace it with anything you like.

The main bit of advice don’t use global themes.

Yes i am rather new To linux and here is the funny part i tried a few none arch linuxs Distros and half of my hardware would not work, like Nvdia it would work one time then fail next time i booted open CL was a issue, and i was about to give up and go back on win, when i came acrosse Garuda, and here everything just works, amazing and it is a joy. so yes i am learning Linux on arch i might been in over my head but what the heck it is better then win and total recall  thank you for your help i menas a lot i just wanted to look diffrennt

I think that’s a great decision, and I disagree with @gampel and many others saying Arch Linux wouldn´t be for beginners by default.
It always depends on how much you’re willing to invest. If you’re willing to take the rocky road and learn, you’ll also master Arch.

You won’t learn as much from so called beginner distros like *buntu and Mint, so Arch will be a walk in the park afterwards. You’re only postponing learning in favor of a less free system.
(my mind)

that is one of the reasons why i switchedd to linux you see i am so olllddd that use to run os/2 2,1 and later warp then over to windows (NT) Nice try
and then over to mac and now back on PC and once i have leanrned enough my M2 will be no longer mac osx, linux

as i am typing am sitting at my work computer trying to set it up with win 11 pro .. what a joke it will not update and there is no terminal to see what is going on new Geekom out of the box and i cannnot even start it

Any how i have googled around and found it why i have thems issues, so now i will have to de dragonize the garuda if i want to swap alot over, but i i think i will hang a bit longer
Have a nice day

The most important thing is to always back up the files you intend to change. You can do this without using the command line. However, it is useful to do so for learning purposes.
There is a very helpful thread not only about this → How to create Dolphin Service Menus (and other desktop files)
