Vai all’armadio e indossa la maglietta con la scritta “Te l’avevo detto”
…I’ll tell you the honest truth… I haven’t had a BSOD on my PCs since Windows ME
KERNEL DATA INPAGE ERROR points to your RAM. Check whether it is installed correctly and whether the BIOS settings for the RAM are correct. Maybe that is the cause of your KDE issues. You can also do a thorough mem test.
I just set XMP without overclocking and the RAM is in the motherboard QVL. I will follow your advice anyway
XMP IS overclocking
Manually adjust the settings in the BIOS according to the RAM specs and test again. If errors occur again, test the RAM bars individually.
Without any active profile it’s the same story. The RAM in the QVL talks about 2 banks of 16 but not 2+2 banks of the same serial number…
Test all four banks with one RAM stick, then do the same with the second RAM stick, and so on.
Are these moduls in the supported list from msi ?
If yes → warranty
If no → give back and by supported modules.
pls don´t forget modules on DIMMA2 (slot 2)
DIMMB2 (slot 4)
The QVL reports CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30 but I have two kits …
CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30
4x16gb-are supported but one modul is bad
it must be the modul on slot 1 (my mind)
test each modul inside slot 2
but…i hope it`s not to technical for our garuda forum,
what i type here.
Just wait
Actually, this is just a technical forum
But things often get mixed up and if it were really just a Garuda Linux Problems Forum, there wouldn’t be much going on here in the forum
It was my fault if I raised this fuss maybe I should have done everything outside of the forum and posted everything at the end of the tests, but it’s nice to involve the formidable minds. It will help those who think of upgrading without reinstalling. Anyway… I’m not at the end of the tests!!
Amazon will replace the defective pair with a new one, after which I will reassemble everything and continue my battle against windmills …
I also have a MPG X870E CARBON WIFI from MSI. There was another bios update for this board. When I updated the BIOS it reverted the settings for Secure Boot: Enabled and DDR5 Memory Settings to Default. You may want to re-verify any changes you made.
One of the two pairs of ram is defective, things that can happen (I didn’t think on Corsair’s part). The BIOS was updated as soon as the MoBo was installed, so the settings are still the same.
It looks like the Amazon courier got lost with the replacement RAMs…
