Blackarch repo broken (no it's fine; my mistake)

Bad assumption, though sometimes @dr460nf1r3 et al may add Garuda packages and configuration changes. Mainly, they’re pre-built packages straight from the AUR. They build automatically. Saves the user some headaches. Heck, I even use it in straight-Arch and I believe Arcolinux may use it also.

Best read up on the Chaotic-AUR.

Honestly, I have had very few issues with AUR packages. And I’ve got more than enough reading material ATM with my switch to KDE. I couldn’t even figure out how to move my Window buttons to the right side without looking it up repeatedly and I’m happy to say I finally found a working answer with a search right here in the Garuda Forum. Next mission is getting Dolphin to List A-Z instaed of Z-A. The Xfce/Thunar way sure doesn’t work. Lol.

Right-click will always be your buddy in KDE–and can send you down the rabbit hole sometimes.

My mistake... I guess not Dolphin...Maybe it was the Select a file to open dialog when adding a screenshot in here...Dolphin is right... Yes this firedragon upload screen..

Edit: Found it...making progress.

Finally found the courage to use diff for my first time to make my new /etc/pacman.conf file...a little confusing but I think I got it right. Now I can do this without warning nor error.

I tried

sudo pacman-key --init
sudo pacman-key --populate

but didn't help.

Also, would the regular Dragonized have these same PGP errors? Because this blackarch probably has 1000 things I don't need and I can get everything I've ever needed from the AUR.

Yes, the issues will be the same as keys are from archlinux-keyring & chaotic-keyring.
You forgot the part about sudo pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring chaotic-keyring, that would help

I actually didn’t know. Must’ve missed it. Thank you.

But it gives same result.

sudo pacman -Sy chaotic-keyring

I mistyped that one, corrected :ok_hand:

Maybe it’s a bad habit ti prioritize my 1st upgrade.

Were also the "other" keys updated?

I've seen this before but sure can't remember the fix.

EDIT: Ran out of disk space. I only have a 24gig root. and 40gig home.

I'm not sure this is going to solve it, but according to the FAQ, two steps would still be needed before upgrading:

sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux chaotic
sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys

--overwrite '*'

I’ve been trying to remember that one…

Would that help my full disk? Garuda is on sda5 with home on sda6.
(sorry for the screenshot can’t remember the command to show used disk space and haven’t learned to take area screenshots in KDE yet.)

Didn’t work. Root not big enough for Blackarch Edition.
But I’m pretty damned sure it was fixed. I guess I’ll grab the regular dragonized. My Manjaro Home is too full of android source code to risk resizing it I think, even though I got rid of a lot…I could resize my Garuda home though…I’ll have to think about it.

Maybe you could gain some space getting rid of some snapshots (but I see now it's a fresh install).
IMO sooner or later the disk space issue will have to be addressed....
I see such a nice available space on sda4, just waiting to be shrinked

Good Idea, but I don’t want to risk my android build environment and source code. That’s my manjaro home.

I honestly only was curious about blackarch edition. I do play with some pentest stuff but found long ago that that blackarch repo isn’t needed for what I do. As long as I have AUR access.

Let's look at it from the other side....
Maybe 40GB for home are even too much at the moment, but for sure you cannot cut much there, you would only get some space to proceed, but eventually the problem will come back
