Black screen after installing plasma desktop on top of xfce

I am running Garuda xfce. I understand that installing a different DE is not supported and not recommended, and I don't expect handholding. But maybe you can give a tip. Maybe I need to delete some GTK files from my Home folder, or is it something else?

I installed KDE by running

pacman -S xorg plasma plasma-wayland-session kde-applications 

Then I installed and activated SDDM.

Then I installed garuda-dr640nized

When I rebooted and logged in, I was greeted by a black and blank desktop.

I restored a snapshot after this failed attempt, so you won't see anything KDE in my system info:

The problem is that it boots by default to Plasma Wayland, and something is broken about it. If I choose Plasma X11 at the login screen instead, everything looks right.

Install sddm-git (formerly sddm-wayland-git), check the post below and try again with wayland (if interested).
