Audio stops working all the time

garuda-inxi

The issue is, the audio stops working every 60 seconds or so.
The process I need to do to fix it:

  1. Left click on the volume icon
    image
  2. I click on this icon:
    image
  3. I hover the mouse over Profiles
  4. The current selected option is Duplex estéreo analógico. I click once on Saída Estéreo Analógico (nothing changes) and then I click on Duplex estéreo analógico (the audio starts working again).

The problem is, suppose I do these 4 steps and I start watching a YouTube video. The audio is working fine. When the video is stopped, if I do not start another YouTube video immediately, the audio stops working and I need to repeat the whole process again. If I stay on a call with someone for 2h, during the 2h the audio is working fine. If I exit the call, the audio stops working and I need to repeat the process again. This is deeply annoying and I don't have any idea why this happens.

Whenever I need to see a video or start a call or do anything that needs audio, I need to repeat the 4 steps. I hope someone has any idea what is happening and why clicking on Output stereo analogic and duplex stereo analogic would make the audio start working again, and why after 30 seconds the audio stops working and I need to do this again...

Thanks for the help

Hello, I have seen someone edited my post with this image:
image

It seems I may have installed a software that is not supported by Garuda that my have broken my audio system, but I am not sure which software it is I should remove

No, its from Garuda

Maybe it is because I clicked to create a Panel, this volume icon simply appeared there.

it is like Wifi icon, bluetooth etc they simply appear on the panel
Do you have any idea how to fix my audio system?

Try disabling the PulseAudio sound server in Garuda Assistant, then reboot. It may be causing a conflict.

If you still have Windows on the laptop, make sure the “quick boot” option is disabled in the power management settings and then fully shutdown Windows before booting to Garuda.

On more thing to try would be disabling the powersaving option for your audio card as described here. Your issue sounds like something else, but maybe it’s worth a shot.
