Audio issues with PulseAudio, and no audio with PipeWire

Hello!
I have issues where when I open certain apps, (like libvirt, or Signal) and no audio is playing, then, there's no more audio (YouTube videos won't even play), and I need to restart my system.
And when I switch to PipeWire (then restart the system), I have no audio, except on the HDMI.

Report everything you have already attempted to solve your problem.
Switching back and forward, wait a few kernel updates that will potentially fix the issue.

Hi there,
It is really a weird behavior. But I see

Are both pulseaudio and pipewire installed on your pc? It looks like problem might be there.

Last time I checked in the Garuda assistant, only PipeWire was ticked.

I recommend running

sudo pacman -Rsncd pulseaudio

then

sudo pacman -Syu pipewire-pulse

to ensure you have the pulseaudio compatibility (Likely you have it installed due to pipewire box being ticked in assisant)

I tried it, but same issues as before with PipeWire, no audio at all, but I don't even see any output, nor audio category in the settings.
And the PipeWire checkbox isn't ticked.

And this is what inxi -Faz is showing me now.

Audio:
Device-1: NVIDIA vendor: Lenovo driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel

    chip-ID: 1022:15e2 class-ID: 0480
Device-3: AMD Family 17h HD Audio vendor: Lenovo driver: snd_hda_intel

  Sound Server-2: JACK v: 1.9.19 running: no
  Sound Server-3: PulseAudio v: 15.0 running: no
  Sound Server-4: PipeWire v: 0.3.43 running: yes

You told us the pipewire support was ticked so I suggest you click on that pipewire support then click apply

Just tried that out too, it (re?)installed PipeWire, along PipeWire ALSA, rebooted, but still no audio.

I also noticed when switching back to PulseAudio, that I still have no audio icon in the system tray, nor any options in the settings. I also have this issue with PipeWire if you were asking.

image

I also noticed another thing, I only have audio (with PulseAudio), trough the jack port, not even the laptop speakers.

I noticed in your screenshot of system settings no check mark for either pulseaudio or pipewire one should show a check mark.. have you tried selecting then apply

I can only select one of them, because both of them are conflicting each other.

Have you selected one and applied and if this doesn't work, try the other? Select PulseAudio select apply at the bottom and see....

Yes, and I restarted the system after applying the settings.

Does the system setting reflect your selection once you restart?

Yes, even after just applying the settings.

In Quick Settings go to Audio and what port is selected for

playback device ? It has a test button to see if it works. I.E. Headphones Speakers lineout

I don't even have any audio category.

On dirait que vous n'avez aucun pilote audio installer maintenant pulleviero ou pipewire

May I know where you read that please?
I also just saw that I don't even have the tiny audio icon next to apps that are playing audio.

I just noticed that on other PC's (since I installed Garuda on an external SSD), I get audio too, but no control to mute, or higher/lower the volume.
