It’s that time again people, the new Garuda ISO releases are just around the corner.
A big shout out to all the burgeoning artists in our Garuda community.
I’d again like to sponsor a contest to spur interest from our community artists to make contributions for the next release. I will be donating $100 CDN (approx US $70 or 66 Euros) towards the artist who produces the most popular piece of artwork submitted during the contest. The artist with the individual piece of artwork receiving the highest number of likes from the community during the contest will receive the prize money from myself.
To determine which piece of community artwork is the most popular, artists must only submit one individual piece of artwork at a time. Each artist may submit more than one piece piece of art for consideration during the contest. However, please post each submission separately. That way we don’t need to hold a run off ballot to decide on a winner (like the last contest), which only delayed selecting a winner.
I am not one of the distro devs who makes the final decision on which artwork is selected for inclusion in the next release. Therefore, I cannot guarantee the winner of this contest will be selected as the default desktop wallpaper for our next release. However, it is highly likely that the winner of this contest will be awarded that great honor, (in addition to the bonus pocket money). Other artwork from the contest submissions that the devs find particularly attractive may also be included in the next release’s wallpaper pack.

As there are 10 different new DE are you/maintainer looking for one that en-compasses them all, or separate ones for each DE
Yes it would, to see what each dev is thinking for there DE, So maybe it will give conformity to Garuda

Dito on that. Personally I would favor a Catppuccin Mocha themed one as if fits certain upcoming things but that’s probably just me we should do a poll on the most liked wallpaper either way
I would suggest uploading it to a git repo and sharing it this way, or any other host of your choice (preferably anyways due to keeping forum size down).
