Ein freundliches Hallo an das Garuda Forum, ich hoffe ihr seit ihr alle gut ins Neue Jahr gekommen.
Gestern dem 01,01, 2024 merkte ich wie sehr ich mittlerweile mit eurer Garuda Distro klarkomme. Da hatte ich den Win10 Rechner meines Neffen wieder zum Laufen gebracht und nach langer Zeit gesehen, wie träge manchmal Windows sein kann.
Jedenfalls habe ich gemerkt, dass ich mich mittlerweile in Linux besser zurechtfinde als in Windows.
Da der Rechner ebenfalls nicht Win11 Kompatible ist, sagte ich zu meinen Neffen er solle sich mal mit Linux befassen, ich hab ihm eure Distro gezeigt und gesagt, wie man das ein oder andere Update Problem beheben kann, wen man sich nur ein wenig damit befasst. Den nur wegen Win11 viel Geld aus dem Fenster werfen muss auch nicht sein, wenn man ein sicheres Betriebssystem haben will. Wozu viel Geld für Windows 11 und Co. verbrennen, wenn man ein besseres, Sinnvolleres, Durchdachtes, Konfigurierbares Betriebssystem Gratis bekommt. Ich sagte ihm, dass er nach dem Supportende von Windows10 auf Linux umsteigen sollte für E-Mail, Internet und Co.
Nun es gab 2023 hier und da einige Probleme unter Linux, die ich alle in den Griff bekommen habe, das einzig schlimmste Problem für mich war im September 2022 das Fehlerhafte GRUB Update wo nix mehr ging, aber dank der Hilfe in eurem Forum behoben werden konnte.
Als ich vor mehr als einem Jahr auf eurem Linux OS umgestiegen bin, fand ich mich nach wenigen Stunden in den Systemeinstellungen schnell zurecht.
Ein Arbeitskollege von mir ist auch auf euer Linux umgestiegen, er will sich diese Woche damit befassen, wie er mir heute sagte. Jedenfalls ist mir seit dem Rechner meines Neffen klar geworden, dass ich von Windows nichts mehr wissen will.

Yesterday, January 1st, 2024, I realized how much I can now get along with your Garuda Distro. I got my nephew’s Win10 computer working again and after a long time I saw how sluggish Windows can sometimes be.
In any case, I have noticed that I now find my way around Linux better than Windows.
Since the computer is also not Win11 compatible, I told my nephew to look into Linux. I showed him your distro and told him how you can fix one or two update problems if you just look into it a little . You don’t have to throw a lot of money out of the window just because of Win11 if you want a secure operating system. Why waste a lot of money on Windows 11 and Co. when you can get a better, more useful, well-thought-out, configurable operating system for free. I told him that after Windows 10 support ended, he should switch to Linux for email, internet, etc.
Now in 2023 there were a few problems here and there under Linux, all of which I got under control. The only worst problem for me was the faulty GRUB update in September 2022, where nothing worked, but was able to be fixed thanks to the help in your forum .
