yes a good hint too overseen it . ive running on wayland and dont have this warnings =)
but that happens only with games on controller, and i have to move the mouse to exit the screensaver , so my guess is still that it doesnt recognise the controller as input … so is there a way to change that maybe?
and just to note, adding “–no lockscreen” to steam launchparameters didnt change it either 
Exercise your arm muscles until you find it easier to push the mouse across the table.

did you checked the settings here? it was disabled if i opened the settings.
otherwise if you want play you can try to disable xscreensaver and after gameplay reactivate it .
- For example, on Linux, you can use the following command to disable the screensaver:
xscreensaver-command -exit
- To re-enable the screensaver after you finish playing, use:
xscreensaver-command -activate
yeah, well, that is the annoying part, that when i play with controller i have to tick the mouse every 2 minutes … in roundbased games its not a problem, but in live action that already did cost me a life or another

… the setting for the steam-controller didnt change it neither (i allways thought that was to use that bigpicture mode with controller, no) but it was worth a try
hmm, ok -exit /-activate might be a sufficiant work around , but still would be more accomodable to have a fix setting for it
yeah i will try it but first i have to clean a unused SDD and set it up for games and install some games then i will try to find a solution =)

right now, i stumbled over an 6 year old reddit where they propose caffeine, but all i can find for that is some linux-mint version … is that worth giving a try?
caffeine and xset is not recommended. i also see caffeine-ng didnt work with the new python 3.11 Version .
let me check some stuff maybe ive try to write a small script that run in background for dedecting game or controller input . Let me some time to figure it out

For short. if the screensaver is active even with no game and i press any button on the xbox controller the screen went back. so it works here on my computer.
i have a script written and have to test it for x11 workings and have to find the xbox controller with right id and some stuff.
What for an xbox controller you are using ? I have the Xbox one S Controller ?
How do you have it connected? i tested with bluetooth only for now.

i can only find something for windows
it was in the xbox controller section in the xbox menu settings. i dont have this controller anymore because swapped to S series.
it work with the dongle okay so i have to wait a bit more game is on 91%. when is finished i will check the script with x11 for working .
where can i find this?
i checked the controller for bluetooth update but it seems your controller didnt have bluetooth for updating it im sorry for it . damn lol
