Windows buggy after login

Hello everyone, I have recently installed this on my laptop instead of Pop OS due to issues upgrading. Garuda has treated me very kindly so far, but has some minor inconveninces that come with a new install. I am new to Linux and looking to learn how to get my system running as smooth as possible.

The issue that I have is: When I log in, the windows that I see on screen are bugged (No toolbar at top to drag windows around or minimize, cancel, etc) and opening a terminal acts very strangely, any typing that I do is jumbled up, and enter does not work. Looking from similar issues, all that I could gather from it was to run startx from tty2 using CTRL+ALT+F2. After running the startx command manually, everything goes back to normal. I have tried adding a script to run startx after login under the startup options, but have no luck with that.

My question is how to automate this process to run startx or if there may be a deeper way to permenantly fix this. The issue occurs on xanmod or linux-lts kernels

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
First of all I’d try to switch to any of the kernels supported by Garuda (and by Arch).
Edit: Sorry, I see now you’ve already tried xanmod (there are several flavours available anyway) and linux-lts kernels
