So your card does load in.
Also check the output of the ip link
command to see if a wireless interface was created; usually the naming of the wireless network interfaces starts with the letter “w”, e.g. wlan0
or wlp2s0
. Then bring the interface up with:
ip link set *interface* up
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: enp5s0f4u2: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group defa
ult qlen 1000
link/ether 5e:1e:dd:63:ff:35 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
It does shows like this when i put ip link command now what can i do to set the interface up and make my wifi run
Can you run this
modprobe r8169
If you get a permission error, just use sudo
Yes I used sudo and it runned but no output
Alrighty, Try iwctl and
ip link
again
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00

I am confused RN and have to go get some food. Try this meanwhile

Ok Bro
I hope i can solve this wifi thing
Try to install this driver
