Wifi is down and won't get back up

Greetings, I am a very new Linux user and trying to figure this out. I had to hard shut down PC earlier today and when I started it back up the Wi-Fi was down where usually it connects automatically before I’ve even logged in. No available connections, even though my phone had been connected to Wi-Fi all day. Checking coming system info it seems say the network state is down. I have been searching on my phone for every solution or fix I can find to try and get it back up and nothing seems to do anything. If anyone could possibly suggest a straightforward fix for this I would be incredibly grateful

p.s. I should note that when I put in my old Wi-Fi dongle I can get it to connect. It’s definitely a problem with the Wi-Fi antennae that came with the motherboard

My dear friend you did not post an inxi of your machine so how can we help you?

Guess work at best with how you describe your issue.

Have your tried a restoring a snapshot? Simply reboot your machine and in your grub menu select restore snapshots and then try and restore the latest one first, and then down to the others if that does not work. Often restoring a snapshot will fix configuration problems. Let us know how you go

To post an inxi

put open a terminal (Ctrl t) and then type garuda-inxi and post the output in your first post by editing it.

First type
~ (3x)
three times

and paste the output of your garuda-inxi underneath those symbols and after that type another three times a
~ (3x)

so your output has been rightly formatted for us to have a look at.

Thanks.

Thank you for your help guys it is appreciated. I wanted to provide more info of course but without PC Internet access I couldn’t figure out how to get PC info into Reddit, also it wouldn’t let me post pictures.
Anyway the problem is solved, as it seems the solution was to unplug and toggle off the switch, let it sit overnight then turn it back on. Almost wish the problem was more complex so I wouldn’t feel silly about the solution
