Packages like qt-assistant, qt-dbusviewer, qt-linguist, qt-widget designer are installed in lite version. i can see them in kde launcher menu. i cant remove them which breaks kde core.
i dont see this packages are included in kubuntu or fedora kde. why they are included in garuda lite and many other arch distro. can we ship garuda kde lite version without this packages. its of no use for normal users who dont need development tools. Sorry if i offended anyone.
KDE core means what exactly? Try listing the exact packages:
If it’s indeed a dependency of KDE we can’t do much about it.
May be fedora and kubuntu dont include it in core libraries like arch. and they place it in separate development meta-package that is not included in the default end user KDE installation.
Yes, it’s partly an Arch Linux packaging decision. I just hide them from the applications menu and they never bother me again.
More specifically, this package is required by aurorae, kwin, and plasma-workspace. Why?
ya. best is to hide it using kde menu editor.
edit application => setting=> configure kde menu editor => show hidden entry=> then select all 4 packages one and by one and tick enable hide entry and save.
