Why having 2 distinct theme options is a beautiful thing

A little while ago, I had made a post where I noted that I had been using Manjaro on my desktop for a while, and put Garuda on my laptop to try it out. Nowadays, I have Garuda installed on both, because I think it is the perfect operating system for me. It’s close enough to base Arch that most of its philosophy still applies, while there a lot of awesome defaults and programs that make life easier. No hate to Manjaro, it’s just not for me!

Anyway, I could glaze Garuda as much as I want, but I had noticed something. On my desktop, where I have Dr460nized Gaming installed, it feels perfect. The theme matches the gaming atmosphere quite well and I enjoy that. My computer feels like a super neon gaming machine. This is the perfect use case for Dr460nized theming!

On my laptop, where I do all of my work, I thought the Dr460nized theme felt a little… out of place. It was cool, and people noticed how crazy my desktop looked, but when I want a state of concentration and peace I didn’t really want all of those neon colors. This is exactly when I went to Garuda’s website and noticed the new Mokka edition.

This. Is. PERFECT!!! This is exactly what I was looking for! A beautiful and calm KDE desktop based on Catppuccin. Just when this distro can’t get any better, it does. For me, having the exact same distro on both of my main machines with completely different purposes makes me very happy. The theming on both of them matches their use case exactly as I want them to. It feels like I have really found my home distro.

I just really wanted to share how happy I am about this new Mokka theme. Combined with Dr460nized, I feel like Garuda is really starting to gain appeal for a larger audience. Awesome job guys!

That is one of the many many many reasons why we brought Mokka to life.
It’s cool to see that statement it true.

Tnx for sharing!
