Why doesn't this standard gnome shortcut work?

Following my own tutorial I made for myself, this is the same way I do it on other installs (except the name is different because apparently the appimage installer (something I don't normally use) added some shit at the end of the filename):

Name: normcap
Command: /home/username/.local/share/applications/NormCap-0.4.0-x86_64_1fdf44752a2df156f058e7b510351f8a.AppImage
Shortcut: Super+Print

But it works if I wrap it in a script...?

The script:

#!/bin/bash
cd /home/username/.local/share/applications/
./NormCap-0.4.0-x86_64_1fdf44752a2df156f058e7b510351f8a.AppImage

The new shortcut:

Name: normcap
Command: /home/username/normcap.sh
Shortcut: Super+Print
