Where to share Garuda Icons

What can I say, after many months of testing Garuda (Gosh I think it’s been like 2 years) I fell in love with it. I know a lot of people complain about the aesthetics and colors blah blah, but I love it. It’s as if the designer designing and OS with exactly how I visually like to see it. I have converted many WIN11 machines with the same color scheme

The issue is that there are some icons I would like that isn’t included in Garuda. So I have re-worked some in the Candy-Beautyline style that actually look pretty good. I would like to share them if some is interested. I’m very to new to the community and I don’t know where would be appropriate to upload them…

Maybe there is a repository where we can share them? I found this icon11-community on github, but it’s not for crazy neon, sweet, beauty line icons. Something like that would be ideal.

Also if anyone has any info on designing the icons It would be great resource.

Thanks for reading

You could probably contribute theme here if they get accepted, I think

And there is a lot of places you can share, maybe in gnome-look.org, where you suggested, a repo or probably “Share your artwork platforms around here”

I suggest creating a PR at the mentioned repo. The structure should be easy to figure out, if you need help: let me know!

I’m giving them my credit card for verification, sorry.

Umm, idk what you are doing but none of what I told you requires a credit card. Please stay safe, don’t give out credit cards to random websites.
Re-read my comment + consider what dr460nf1r3 suggested

I was able to do a Pull on Candy Icons GIT. For those who are interested or want to comment on my icons please feel free:

I don’t know if the Garuda developers look at the GIT to include icons but they are welcome to.

Crazy!

This does not seem to be a new thing and has been an issue for a while, especially for anyone with a shared IP like in case of University networks.

If your IP (and possible your Browser fingerprint) looks “suspicious” or has been used by other users before, you need to add additional information, which may include credit card information. Credit card verification after sign up (!96994) · Merge requests · GitLab.org / GitLab · GitLab

This is not certainly a good solution and other platforms have shown there are less intrusive alternatives.

Seems like they think you are suspicious, sorry this happened. You don’t have to give credit card information though, you can try register from a different network maybe.

I was able to setup a Github account just fine. Of course I’m suspicious. I live in Peru
