The last post seems to have solved, although, if not working, I definitely think you should apply the steps at post #10.

It is not what I think is better, it is a fact. Edit: Found the problem, some of my old settings were wrongly stored in .config/plasma-localerc. I just deleted the file, and it was regenerated with the correct values next time I logged in to my user.
