When will it be ready? I know it already is, but it had some bugs, and i see its still in developement after the release, so i wait. If no exact time is known, no problem. But i hope something with precision like “april” or “this month” would be possible. If not, still thanks for all the development and the efforts put into that :D. Sorry for my bad english.
They always build new iso’s daily that one. On the website is the one they recommend as its arch you will always have toy current version when you type garuda-update. “Point releases” like a LTS are not a thing on arch. Unless your on a immutable that is image A vs image B.
They do now build isos daily? Just like arch original isos? I didnt know that i because it was not the case for all previous isos before Broadwing. Thx, that means this is finally the day on which im installing it xD. The waiting is over i guess xD. But i still wonder why only the dr460nized edition gets daily isos but not the other ones… https://iso.builds.garudalinux.org/iso/garuda/ But i guess it doesnt matter. I mean, it has been marked as solution by a person that has the control over it to mark it as the solution here, so its kinda “offical”.
It was ready before the release announcement, of course.
It will always have bugs, and until the end of the distro it will always be in active development.
Arch ISOs are released monthly, not daily.
Some automation was added to that one to build it every day. Note these build ISOs are not tested before being published, so user beware. The official recommendation is to use the ISOs from the main download page, not from the builds page.
There is an offical recommendation!? Where!? Did i really overlook that xD!? Wow… Just wow xd…
That’s right, the only officially supported ISOs are the ones on the downloads page. The ISOs on the builds page are often fine, but can be broken when testing or troubleshooting builds. Here be dragons, etc etc.
I guess so! It’s common knowledge here on the forum and has been discussed a hundred times, although I’m not sure where else it is mentioned. Maybe we should put a disclaimer on the builds page itself.
Wow!
I also had to search, as downloads can now be found under Editions
Probably no problem for native English speakers, but since it’s always under Downloads
on all the sites I know, I first looked for this word on the site
Maybe we should change this to downloads again, as this is clearly what people expect, apparently.
