Weird slow internet on all of my home pcs

Which isp? And how long did it last?

Netplus. Last around a fortnight. Was some issue at local hub, so they proxied it to their headquarters, around 200km from my house.

But the same issue was on smartphone too.

So what happened when you disabled 2.4ghz wireless did everything connect ok?

Well, if you want to troubleshoot, do the obvious. Provide logs and technical info (even if you think they are not needed  )

But if you just want a loose discussion, maybe move it to Community.

Dispite promisses from speed test sites, the only true speed comparison is downloading a large file from the same server/site, the same time, from all devices you compare.

It wouldn’t be the first time that radio interference between devices, even outside or on another level, caused problems like this. That’s all I know, as a former licensed electrician and plant maintenance supervisor (the guy who is responsible for keeping all the production equipment/machinery/lines/HVAC, etc. running). I also had an electronics tech on my team.

Or maybe not.

Everything connected,
So this is definetely some WIFI issue, i download the same AMD file from wifi and from ethernet
Wifi - 800kbps
ethernet 11.2 mbps

My router logs

Try testing your wireless on your laptop with the live usb and try your speed from within the live distro

Uhm, so i pinged my router and i am in disbelief

--- 192.168.1.1 ping statistics ---
45 packets transmitted, 45 received, 0% packet loss, time 44044ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 2.788/44.736/160.285/53.434 ms

I get better ping in valorant

ok can you test with live usb ? just to rule out driver issues/network

I am back!
Interesting results
So on livecd, the speeds are FLUCTATING LIKE CRAZY
but
i am able to get the original speed of my wifi, it increases to 17-19mbps falls to 5 then increases and vice versa

My normal pc starts at 10 falls down to 800kbps and stays in that area

And i got assigned the mirror which i always get on devices with working conditions. Which keps changing on my laptop with the issue

Note - I download a 400mb file for testing

what was the ping speed to your local router address on the live usb

What is this about? What mirror?

Anyway, try with IPv6 disabled, to see any difference.

Ok sad new here,
I downloaded a file on my windows on the same pc and downloaded it at at original speeds, but I I stuck at 1mbps on garuda.

Petsam in speedtest by Oakla they have multiple server locations and they auto assign you one, since I got this wifi I have been only assigned a server in Lucknow, which isn't the case anymore. Even the ping show is 0ms in speedtesting The download speed is stable.

Ok it is safe to say your internet connection is ok

can you give output of iwconfig and ifconfig on garuda

iwconfig

Just for info, you can choose your server manually.

But it indicates a abormality, if all devices have been getting the same mirror for the past 2 months, why does one case have degraded performance and having different servers assigned and has 0ms ping

I think we are now talking about two seperate items here now?
Your Wan connection is ok You dont need to worry about speed test in this instants it is your wlan at fault.
you have only have 6mb/s on the 5ghz range?
have you changed anything in network manager/ drivers settings as liveusb works and other devices work?
