Webcam Not Working with Intel Integrated Graphics

I’ve been having issues with the webcam in Zoom on my laptop; but now that I unplugged the TV and run on integrated graphics, the webcam does not work at all!

On NVIDIA setup (plugged in TV), webcam works but is very laggy (at least in Zoom).

On Intel integrated, the integrated webcam does not work at all.

I tried kernels linux-zen and linux. Updated, rebooted.

I open Kamoso, in the list of cameras, it says “SPCA2087 PC Camera (V4L2)”.

Yet, the image remains completely black.

What more can I do?

After playing with kernels and packages, the error magically went away and Kamoso is working again.

My observation right now: Zoom webcam in kernel linux lags when doing heavy CPU operations like installs, but otherwise runs pretty smooth like I would expect. Still some stuttering though… but seems better.

On kernel linux-zen or linux-xanmod, I get very heavy lag and stuttering and make it unusable.

So… webcam now working with internal graphics. I don’t know what the problem was.
