Wayland KDE 6 4K60 not working

I’m not sure why but in the KDE 6 Wayland session 4K@60hz is not available.
I like to give more info but i don’t know what logs i should even attach, if anything is requested I will add it.
What i have available is just 4K@30hz or 2560*1440@60hz. I have tried adding “video=HDMI-A-1:3840x2160@60” to the boot program where HDMI-A-1 was reported by using ‘xrandr --listmonitors’ (on wayland of course, xrandr works there too).
I would be nice if I could find a way to fix it, right now I’m just using the x11 session on plasma 6 which works like a charm without adding any boot options.
It just works and therefore gives me 4K@60hz.

Hello.

Wayland is not ready jet !! … use X11, actually only this is the solution.

I suspected as much, would have been a nice option but I guess I try it in the again future. I was kinda hoping there wold be a way to future prove my setup, but whatever if that’s how it is, than that’s how it is.

for me it is Working out of the Box

about the waylad is not there thing:

Right, it might be HDMI, but i would have to use a Displayport to HDMI converter for my current setup to work.
Right now i have a HDMI splitter that splits to my TV and my display so i can play in my bed. So i wold have to use a converter for that (I don’t have one right now but i will try it soon, have to bye a converter for that).

well that ads a lot of points of failure

try a direct connection and see if it works that way
with HDMI and with DP and try to avoid converters for the test, just ads another point of failure.
best is always a direct connection

than you know if it is related to the splitter or not

Oh that failed unit is mine, i create a simple update service that runs “update --noconfirm” i seams that that service is broken let me manually update real quick

Yes its working on x11 right now so, seems strange to say that it its the splitters fault, it probably isn’t

A lot of displays (including TVs) will only do certain resolutions at certain refresh rates on certain ports with certain cables. For example, only 4K@60hz on port 1 or 8K@120hz on port 4. Other features are this way too such as (e)ARC only on certain ports with HDMI 2.0+.

Yep, i my monitor is HDMI1=4k@30 DP1=4k@60 HDMI2=4k@60, so I’m plugged in to HDMI2, i know that my setup works with 4k@60 since x11 works, thanks for the input anyway.

Thought I’d just add that for clarification for anyone that didn’t know it.
